Sony has confirmed that the PlayStation Plus Collection will remain in the new PlayStation Plus as it was so far.
The Japanese company yesterday announced the renovation of its online subscription service, merging it with PlayStation Now and dividing it into three levels. The first, essential, will be the same as the current PlayStation Plus. The second, extra, will add a library with four hundred downloadable Games of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Finally, the third level, Premium, will add to all of the above around three hundred retracted playback games, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 (this last one alone Through streaming), game in the cloud and exclusive demos.
The launch of the new PlayStation Plus is scheduled for June, but there are still many questions to respond. The catalog is one of them, as it is also to know if Sony will offer an option for improvement for people who already have paid several months (or years) of Plus and want to move to the extra or premium level. In addition, there were small details that were left in the air, as what was going to happen with the PlayStation Plus Collection, if it would remain at the essential level or if it would go to the extra.
For this we already have an answer. The journalist of Ign Jonathon Dornbush explained on Twitter that “for all those who ask, PlayStation has confirmed IGN that the PlayStation Plus Collection will not disappear after this change. It will remain a benefit for all players of PlayStation 5 with PlayStation Plus “.
