It has been two days since Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard . In this period of time, many have expected the official response from Sony to this movement. In this way, the Japanese response has issued a statement where hope that those responsible for Xbox will respect the agreements that had already been with those responsible for Call of Duty.
By means of a shared statement for The Wall Street Journal, A Sony spokesman finally broke the silence , and this was what he said:
We hope that Microsoft complies with contractual agreements and continue ensuring that the Activision games are multiplatform.
Recall that for some years, Activision and PlayStation have had an agreement to bring special and exclusive content of the Call of Duty games to the consoles of the Japanese company. At least for the time being, this will continue to be running. This was a case similar to what happened with Bethesda, where Xbox respected the exclusivity agreements of DECATHLON and GHOSTWRITE: Tokyo.
However, Nothing sure that at the end of the current contract, this type of relationship between Activision and PlayStation is renewed . On related topics, fans expect Sony to acquire a high-level study. Similarly, the community wants a Bethesda and Activision smash.
Editor’s note:
This is a natural response. Sony wants the current agreements to be respected, and it is very sure that Microsoft keeps them as. However, similar to what we are seeing with star field, eventually the properties of Activision Blizzard will be exclusive Xbox.
